For the "Hoametfest" (homeland gathering) on the first weekend of August, several hundred Markentenderinnen (typical vivandières from our region) have come from the German Alpine area to Terlan.
More than two dozen vivandières from Imst have stayed with us at the hotel restaurant Sparerhof, accompanied by their enthusiastic drummers who set the right rhythm.
A vivandière's more than just the beautiful accompaniment of the local folkloristic team or band, a vivandière has many responsibilities in the team and enjoys great respect for the careful supervision and execution of the event. To prove that the vivandières from Imst are also talented and versatile, they have demonstrated it during the visit to our hotel: to traditionally celebrate the weekend, an ox was promptly been roasted. A culinary delight for the eyes.
